Just select with then press then go to the next tip. Tips are even easier since there are only 5-7 each episode. Once you have seen all of them press then select the next character and so on.
When you go into Characters make sure to select with the button and also cycle through any additional ones with the. Story, Tea Party, and ? can all be autoplayed with the button while Character and Tips you just select each one. It is important you do this at each step because if you try to use the skip buttons, it will not count towards the 30k lines and you will have to do more work then necessary (Credit to Donkey-er). At this point, you can literally walk away and let the game play out.
